Happy New Year guys!I've tried to catch up with 400 entries, hopefully that's enough already. *phew* Now I want to catch up with the rest of the videos, or promos, or anything other downloadables I've missed. Okay, enough rambling, I've finally finished watching Ryuusei no Kizuna last night! :DDD
Thoughts? Well, I must agree with everyone else that it was a good (not to mention fitting) ending. I totally loved the last episode! If I wasn't eating popcorn (at one in the morning xD), I probably would've bawled too much that my dad would wake up and probably ask me about problems I hadn't told him.
Nevertheless, I didn't know Nino could scare me so much. Okay, he did in Ao no Honou, but this was different. I was startled when he shouted at Taisuke in episode 7 (LOL, I was waay behind, okay?) that it's not all right to have Shii in love with Yukinari. Or something like that. But actually, this was not the point I was going to make. The point was going to be regarding Nino's crying. I know that probably it's just me but every time I see Nino crying I want to cry as well. (Actually it's all of Arashi. Case in point: Pikanchi. Yes, I almost cried when they all started crying. I'm pathetic. D: But that's not the point as well.) I did in the finale, and honestly, I don't know why. LOL. Oh well.
Glad RnK gained ratings for the finale though! They deserve it. ♥

You know I have many loves. I mean fandoms. Because YT has been my BFF lately, I want to share what I have been doing at YT. LOL.
First off, well. Honestly I'd known Super Junior before I knew Arashi, because of my cousin. Although, HanaKimi was way entertaining for me at that time, so that started the craze over Johnny boys. But I digress. SuJu is now my most favorite Korean boyband, just because they are dorks. (I'd have to do away with talent, you see.) I have seen so many dork vids but I just had to share this one, because my favorite's in it. ;P
I can't get over Hyuk's "Can you speak English-i?" still. XD
Next up. Um, Whose Line. I think this is one of my oldest fandoms, aside from the Backstreet Boys. Really. I never knew why adult's humor appealed to me at such a young age. xD Anyway, here is one of my favorite playings, from one of my favorite games (Hollywood Director), including my favorite 4th seater (Greg! ♥). Basically I just love the entire cast. And Ryan Stiles. I bet you want to see the video now huh.
Oh lastly, one of your favorites, guys. I can't believe these dorks talked about breasts on National TV. XD

some really irrelevant RL stuffSo, I got my grades last Thursday. Honestly I really wanted to get higher grades (from last term), so I wished and prayed with all my might that despite being the hardest (obviously the busiest) term of my college life, I would get higher grades this time. That was in order to maintain my CPGA. I had another wish, that is to be on the first honors dean's list again. Last term was the first time I had not become first honor, so that was a little disappointing on my part. (Just a little info, 3.4 is the minimum GPA for first honor students, and I got 3.33.) And this term, I got 3.428-something! So, I'm happy enough. I'm going to have a good Christmas this year. :DDD
Enough of school talk, now that it's over. *breathes out* I got a new hair cut! It's much shorter than the last time, and I got Nino's emo bangs! XDD
I'm exaggerating, but my bangs are longer than the hair at the back so I guess it's the same principle. And I did not persuade my hairstylist to do that, I just told her I wanted a shorter hair from the last time, 'cause I have thick hair and that hairstyle did not suit me well. Seriously. If you want a proof though I can always edit this post to have my picture here. IF only you're curious enough. LOL.

again, i'm still alive :DLet's just say that I have not slept well during the weekend, because I had a last term requirement I should have done (or at least started) a few days before so that I didn't have to procrastinate. Guess what, I did, and I only had a 45-minute sleep (and my dad *still* doesn't know about it. Oops). I did have a good sleep last Monday, and I think I slept the entire afternoon up until nine or something. Okay, enough babbling. Updates!
- I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't caught up with the fandom, so I'll start with my friends' journals, then the comms, and work my way backwards. I missed you guys! *squishes*

changing nibans *cough* and other random thoughtsUgh. This has been a long day. I don't really want to spill the details, but having slept at nearly four in the morning and being at school for 7 seven hours is j-just. Too tiring. The day started really well, and I even got a perfect score for my second test for today (which was an oral exam in history), until I took the third test. I-I. Don't really know what to say. Damn, and I promised myself I'd do better this term.
(I swear after that paragraph I'll sound happier lol)
Anyway, after that, I went home and watched House, because I wanted to unwind after this very, very, very tiring day. Since at the time, I didn't want to "think" (after all the thinking I did on that test), I didn't bother turning on my laptop and just watched on my iPod. I watched Cane & Able, btw, which is probably one of my most-watched episode in the series. And it actually makes sense, because as I've observed, what I felt about the episode is what I feel in general about the series:
1. That House, despite being not always right, should somehow be trusted completely, because even if he's an ass, he's the smartest ass out there.
2. Chase is still my favorite duckling~ (and he became the focused duckling in this ep! :D)
3. I am a closet Wilson/Cuddy fan. Even if I'm in love with House/Cuddy.
4. Since I know Wilson/Cuddy will not be happening EVER, I am now a closet House/Wilson fan as well. (Oh OT3 how I love you ♥)
5. And I still think Cameron's annoying. *gets bricked*
6. Favorite line of the episode?
House: So, what was the plan? I'd feel so humbled by missing a case that I'd re-evaluate my entire life question the nature of truth and goodness and become Cameron?
Wilson: Something like that. More that if we told you the truth that you'd solved a case based on absolutely no medical proof, you'd think you were God. And I was worried your wings would melt.
You see that? Wilson being "worried" about House? No wonder "the fight" they had this season was easily resolved, in like, four episodes. ;P
LOL, sorry about that non-House fans, I just needed to blurt that out somewhere. XD
Then I slept after watching House. L-LOL. I told Jenny about this, that "I've never slept too many times in one day until this term", which is the truth. I woke up at 9, and realized I've dreamt about Nino. No really. It's just a short dream, but I seldom dream about Nino so here's how it went:
Okay, this is what I remember. I was with my sister, this tall cute guy (I have no idea why he was there XD), and a little kid he's supposed to baby-sit (or something like that) in a mall. We were supposed to get something for my little brother, so the cute guy suggested a store. I remember agreeing with him, so my sister teased me (something about having a crush on him?). Then I retorted by saying something like "Fine, then don't come. I know you agree with him too anyway." LOL. But just like how my sister would react, she just smiled at me. She let me lead the way (since probably I knew where it was XD) and there was this HUUUUUGE staircase I must go down with. It was long and had huge gaps in-between steps. I was wearing heels so it'd be tougher for me but I continued anyway. XD I held onto the rails with both hands and slid (literally XD) slowly downward.
AND THEN, the interesting bit (I hope). There's this GIANT screen hanging above me, and as I was going down the stairs, it showed a fantasy series that featured Nino. (I am not kidding. XD) His role was a prince--imagine YamaTaro--and he was trapped in an enchanted forest owned by another royal family. The catch was, the family turned out to be evil and they turned people into trees (o-or something XD;;), and Nino didn't know about it. They could turn into trees as well. LOL. I don't remember what I did exactly, but I remember talking to the screen and going "No Nino~ they're evil!!" Xp Obviously he would not listen. I think he fell in love with one of the daughters. I remember the king talking about marriage or something. And then she turned into a tree and Nino was clinging to a branch and eventually fell down.
And then I woke up.
If you're still interested, I'll write about the last time I dreamt about an Arashi member, and it was about Nino too; although I still couldn't get Sho-kun out of my damn subconsciousness for some reason. Not that I'm complaning.
Back to studying! I have one more test to go. THEN FREEDOM~~ ♥

Just like always, I'll tackle what I'm up to lately, but this time I'll make it quick. You might get annoyed with the massive length of my usual posts already. XD;;
1. Btw, if some of you are still interested, the virtual card making is still open for requests (just check the two previous posts), since I won't make those until I get my Christmas/term break, which is in a week, probably. If I'm in a giving mood, I might make some even to those who didn't request, but still keep in touch. ^^ A request would be much easier for me though LOL.
2. I haven't downloaded anything that's new this week (except Jun's new AU CM which was adorable), so I'm definitely behind on fandom-related things. D: And it's probably going to continue until next week. I haven't even watched RnK episode seven yet. *weeps*
3. Oh, probably you know this already, but my finals for this week are coming up. As much as I wouldn't like to, I might declare a hiatus on posting, but probably not on commenting. I'm kind of OC like that. XDD ('Cause I can't focus on just studying, I can't study properly that way for some reason. I need distractions every once in a while.) I might still be late on commenting though.
4. I know what's the buzz on Sho dancing to Wondergirls' Nobody (I just watched a Korean variety show early today having two of them as guests :P), and I must say, as much as I said that "any guy who would dance this would look terrible", Sho pulled it off nicely. And now you're wondering why Sho comes often in my dreams? XDD
5. Thanks for those who suggested some DS games! I'm currently addicted to My Japanese Coach right now, since I need proper "training" on my Katakana. LOL.
6. A question of resources again orz: Does anybody know where I can get Wink Up December 2008 scans (HQ)? I'm not desperate, but I'd just like to know if there is a would-be location of these scans. Thanks in advance (again) :)

i really should be sleepingIt's three in the morning here. I'm wide awake even though I have classes at eight this morning. I blame two things: (1) coffee; and (2) sleeping from 6pm-9pm. Hey, it's not like I could help it; last night I started working on my homework at 9pm and ended at 4am. So to speak, I lack sleep
Enough rambling, this should be a happy entry. LOL. Btw, to those who still want to request for virtual cards, CHECK THE PREVIOUS POST. I'm thinking of having some kind of twist in those things, but heck, I'm not innovative at all.
So. Before I deviate topics again, personal
News # 1: Friday, Watching Iwo Jima.
So okay. I'm not trying to be a hypocrite here, since apart from watching the movie itself, I was actually more excited about the special features of the DVD (BluRay? LOL), like what I pretty much want from DVDs in general. Undeniably I loved the movie. I found that it was so well-conceived that nothing in the movie was irrelevant. And it was so believable. The movie actually left me speechless (like I am now lol).
Onto the more interesting part. During the special feature interviews, I found it amusing that everyone looked different in the movie and in the interviews. (I know, it should be that way, but let me prove a point. XD) Nino, for instance; in the interview he looked much younger, especially with the YamaTaro hair (although this was done in late 2006) and with the highlights. Yes, HIGHLIGHTS. Honestly, I cannot remember a single moment where I could see this hairstyle of Nino's. Perhaps during this time he didn't really have activities with Arashi, but this tidbit actually left me wondering for some reason. Remind me their activity back then? :/
Next is Kase Ryo. He certainly looked like his age in Iwo Jima, but during the interview, he looked like he was 25 or something. I cannot explain it here though. I might post about this again next time to show you photos. LOL. But he is a good actor. I wish he acted more in dramas.
Kase Ryo: *talking about the cast and crew* Everyone was really nice. Everyone except for Ninomiya-kun.
Nino: Oi! That's not true!
Nino's answers in the interviews were interesting, as usual. When asked what he had in common with Saigo, his answer was that like Saigo, he wanted to go home, to Japan. He missed home so much that it was the only thing he could think of. There he also mentioned that he hated travelling, so filming for Iwo Jima was quite hard.
Oh and did you know that the belt for Shimizu (Kase Ryo's character) was Nino's idea? :D
What I loved about Nino in the presscon in Japan was that despite sitting beside Clint Eastwood, he had the guts to tell what he really thought of. When asked what he thought of the movie, instead of praising it (or any actor or something), he said, "I was thinking, 'Ah, this scene was cut! Why it isn't here?!'" Which made me almost fall off my chair. XDD And Nino wanted Clint Eastwood to join him in Arashi concerts. LOL.
One last tidbit I could share, there were 500 girls who auditioned for Hanako (Saigo's wife), all from which came from Los Angeles. Amazing is all I can say. *___*
News # 2: Saturday, Twilight movie
I'll be honest again. The movie was okay. I could've liked the movie more, actually, if not for those teenagers who couldn't stop squealing every time Robert Pattinson appeared on-screen or even every time he blinked. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but you get my point. Good thing those girls were faaaar at the back of the theatre (we were at the front) or else I would've been cleaning my ears for three straight days now. LOL. Back to the movie. Bella was actually everything I imagined she would be. Edward, not so much, but I like him still.
And I can't say anything else anymore. Sorry about that. ^^;;
News # 3: There exists a book about how you can say s**t!! in Japanese.
I hate profanity to be honest. It's just that other people say it so much that I have to learn a bit of it somehow. XD;; Apparently there's this book called Dirty Japanese which basically tells you about the Slang side of the Japanese language. It has topics about casual greetings, sports, video games, even how to say "I'm wasted." But there was one entry that got me laughing:

News # 4: I now have a DS Lite, thanks to my dad.
I really haven't talked about that here (except with a few LJ friends), but ever since mid-November I've been wanting a DS Lite. I could blame Nino, but it's actually because of two (yes, TWO) kids playing at one of the coffee shops nearby. I was just happened to be peeking at what they're doing but, man, that scene reminded me of my childhood days when I used to play video games in every bit of my free time. So anyway, I planned on buying it using the money I received from my birthday, on Christmas, since I don't really want to be distracted *further* from my studies. XD
Normally, like my sister did with her PSP, I canvassed for good prices (and good packages) and last Saturday, I finally found a good deal. My dad wasn't with me at the time, as I was with Jenny (to watch Twilight with lol). After a few hours, at 9:30pm, my dad and I were about to go home when I told him about this good deal and he responded with, "Why don't you buy it now?" I answered with a, "Huh, what?" because really, I was waiting for school break to happen first. But he reasoned that "if you have already encountered a good deal, you must take it" (probably he learned that from mom XD), so I really had no counter-arguments. Except that I didn't have the money with me, but he covered it for me in the meantime.
And so, the point of this question. Since I have many friends who have DS, do you have any recommendation as to what I should play? :D? People in this country are PSP players (for some reason), so I don't really have anyone to ask. :P Thank you in advance :D

To start off: Some of you already know about what I'm giving for Christmas, since I cannot promise sending cards via post, hopefully virtual cards can make up for it. :) Without further ado,
