just some random thoughts
note: one must anticipate that this will be a really long post. believe me.
the da vinci code movieeveryone's talking about and the most watched movie in the world (even here in the philippines). the issue doesn't actually rely on it reaching the top of every box office there is in the world, but on it making the catholic church (here in the country at least) worry too much.
i don't get it. even mtrcb rated it a very unreasonable r-18. do they think that filipinos, their own race, are that gullible and stupid? i mean, it's fiction. whatever the rating had been, it would have still had an impact to everyone, and it still could depend on the person who'd watch it. how did that make other people worry too much? i'm a catholic, and i don't mind whatever dan brown had written.
eh yun ang gusto niya eh.memo to self: never go to sm megamall again. ever.since my mom had a "meeting" with her batchmates in med school in mandaluyong yesterday, we had no choice but to go malling near that area. we (my dad, my sister and i) went to shangrila plaza first and ate lunch at
fish & co., and then we headed to
national bookstore to buy school supplies... after some three hours (and mind you, i was already tired walking), my mom came along and she decided that we'd go to megamall to buy the rest of the things we needed (including ate tin's bookshelf).
oh boy, the place was filled with children! and not just those cute-and-cuddly ones, if you know what i mean. anyway, after three more gruesome hours of walking, i just couldn't go on anymore. no one could talk to me because i wouldn't answer. we ate dinner at 7pm, then
finally went home. thank God it'll never happen again soon.
my dad forgot to call my school to check the id picture taking schedule.well, actually i had forgotten to remind him. it was supposed to be last week but my most anticipated gig must've occupied my whole mind, including my entire being. hahaha. good thing april told me that it just started earlier, and they have schedules until wednesday.
tartar sauce! i feel too lazy to go there.
nine days to go!and i'll see my favorite band again. it's not really, really sure-sure though, i don't have any company yet. but i'm in the process of convincing one. and besides, i feel that i
need to go somehow. school will start soon. aww, total bummer.
there's nothing like seeing your old friends again.yup, that'll happen on saturday, and they're my elementary friends. some of them i haven't seen in four years, some in five months, and some in just a week. hehe. but it excites me more to find out what they're up to, 'cause i'm sure i won't be able to tell them anything... except that i'm not what they think i am anymore (heck, my grades have declined since i reached high school), that i'm an overly obsessed and crazy fan, and that i still don't have a love life. hahaha. they must prepare for me!
a hard day's night!oh yeah! like i mentioned (typed?) earlier, we bought some school stuff yesterday, and guess what? i have a beatles-themed binder
and a beatles-themed filler case! oh yeah! sorry, i couldn't resist on buying them both. hahaha. and they look the same! hahaha. i think it's called
vintage (that's what it says on its label)...
ah basta! i'm really, really proud of it! take a good look:

yeah! sorry, the picture's quite dark; i wish i had taken it in the afternoon. now my school year's going to be rockin'! at least that's what i'm hoping. :p
tartar sauce!i saw him again. (i'm not telling when... haha) wala lang, he's supposed to be buried along with my other bad memories, but he keeps on resurfacing again and again.
ayoko na nga s'yang makita eh! darn it. i guess he was surprised when he saw me too, talking to a friend. wala lang... wala lang...

i'm currently reading bob ong's new book (the title above). i really like the way he writes. i don't know. but so far, i find his new book a tad more fascinating than the previous ones (or do i? tagal ko na kasing 'di nababasa 'yung iba, hehe)...
siguro dahil mas nakaka-relate ako this time. and i don't just laugh at his remarks, i fully nod to his statements. maybe because this time it's all about how it feels to be a writer.
x-men 3: the last standmas inaantay ko pa 'to kaysa sa the da vinci code. hehehe. call me weird for that, it's okay. i'm yearning to see what happens and
what side i will choose (stole that line from the taglines). being impartial, i'll choose magneto, since pyro is on his side already. hahaha. but how about wolverine? ahh, what the heck. i guess i'll have to wait two more days or so to find that out.
single again...paul mccartney (or macca, as fans like to call him) and heather mills separate after four years of marriage. i hesitated to comment on this since i don't have much knowledge on the issue, let alone their marriage. but i guess being a beatles fan made me want to do this. anyway, all i know is that heather's going to have more money if they decide to divorce.
wawa naman si paul. a quarter of his fortune could be gone that fast. maybe that was his fault. then again, what do i know?
may album na sila?!?three months ago, a friend of mine told me about a band named callalily. taga-uste daw sila (i'm not sure). the reasons why she did that were because: (1) they were a bunch of good-looking,
very young kids; and (2) my sister studies at ust. i haven't heard of their music yet, but i know they had a demo cd or something. so that shouldn't surprise me that they had recorded their new album already, right? wrong. the fact that my favorite band (not comparing them or anything) doesn't have one yet makes me a little frustrated. i don't blame them though, i blame all those recording companies. on the meantime, i'll be enjoying the live music they're playing. (side note: 3rd week na for
band on the run, and i can't watch it. darn.)
okay, tutulog na ako. hehehe.
