not a normal night anymore
aka the final chapter.*beams* haaay. after 28 years, we're on
part three na!!! yay! :D
NOTE: sorry for the looooong update. i was hella busy and honestly, i didn't how to start this entry. yeah, blame me.WARNING: UNEXPECTED OUTBURSTS AHEAD. HAVE PATIENCE WHILE YOU CAN. :Pas i've mentioned, one of my expectations that night was to stay a bit longer. of course that wasn't a problem; this one depended on me. and since we're not in a rush (besides the fact that we had a reunion the day after), i asked joycie to stay with me, even for just an hour. she agreed wholly, so yeah, no problem there.
nlabo mehn. :P
ten minutes into eleven pm, the resident wednesday band (
silver) came back. and really, no offense, we didn't know they were there, performing, mainly because joycie and i were talking about
the bloomfields. i was really glad she loved it (for whatever reason, i don't care), and i'm really proud to say that:
i've converted a fan! hooray! well, actually, i've converted my other classmates (who are band-freaks) before, but this is something else. :P
well, as fanatics should act, we waited in our seat patiently, and after about ten minutes (again, i wasn't aware of the time), joycie tapped my shoulder to ask if the ones arriving were the band. i immediately turned around and saw five guys. i
squinted my eyes a bit more because i couldn't make out those figures, and finally confirmed it. yes, that was the bloomfields, only dressed in what i call
"normal clothes". hahaha. i'm not used to that! :D
since they were going around the tables, i thought they'd pass by ours. and since they started on the right side (that's where we were), i thought we'd only wait awhile and they'd come over. but while we're doing so patiently (uh, joyce wasn't.
haha, don't kill me!), joycie was feeling cold already. initially, i didn't know why, because heck, we had been there for
four hours already and then she'd feel suddenly cold (
hindi ako galit joyce, alam mo yan. hehe). we had been drinking our
free "melted" iced tea even! assuming i felt the same way, i told her,
"baka naman dahil kinakabahan ka...kanina naman hindi ka ganyan." she answered an unsure 'yes', then proceeded on practically
begging me to have a picture taken with them (especially
pepe, haha!). of course i agreed, and told her that we had to wait only for a few minutes more.
unfortunately, while we were still talking about them, i happened to turn around to the other side and
saw them already there. i didn't know they went over to the other side that fast. and they didn't even pass by our table.joycie kind of panicked when i informed her about that. i told her not to, because we'd have a chance to do that. and besides, my guts were backing-out that time. (yes, yes, yes...i'm such a scaredy-cat, i know. no need to actually tell me that.) but of course, the situation was like...
it's now or never (how cliché). haha. anyway, we stood up
at last and went over to the other side like there were no people around us, or no band playing.
TADA! IT'S TIME!
(hahaha, i'm just kidding; told you i'm pretty excited about this.)they were talking and signing the shirts at the time, and we didn't exactly know how to approach them, mainly because they were busy (you're thinking something else...you're wrong about that! hehe). since
jay jay was the nearest to us, joycie asked him first. and so we took pictures, me first, then joycie... yeah, that's kind of normal... then he asked what our names were (he even asked me if my nickname was from
jessica; dear Lord no! it's from a much longer one!) and kept thanking us for coming.
joycie became a bit more excited because
pepe was near to us too, only that he was sitting (i think) in an empty corner booth seat. she asked him excitedly (i have to put that word everytime to give emphasis) and we,
again, took pictures. then she excitedly asked him,
again, to sign our tickets. hey, i don't play favorites here (especially on the band), so don't assume he's my favorite too. anyway, he signed joycie's first, then mine. it seemed he's not used to doing such because he said,
"wala na akong masabi!" i laughed when i heard that, and answered right away with
"kahit ano na lang." he managed to finish writing on my ticket (it's a good dedication by the way), and i thanked him simply.
after that, i asked the already
ecstatic joycie--that's a new adjective! haha--if she would like to take pictures with the rest of the group, since she told me that
pepe was her favorite. she said she still wanted to, and of course,
of course, i wanted the complete
set, so we proceeded.
this time, i (
aye, ako, moi, me) asked
rocky if we could take some pictures. he was sitting there too. and the exact words were,
"excuse me, rocky? can we take a picture?" 'a', only one??? sure that was a lie. but i hadn't mind because it was too loud there anyways. he didn't even hear the
'excuse me' part, i think, but he was kind enough to stand up and do his business with us. we thanked him afterwards and he sat back down on a different chair (the one near us...
wow, i love my memory!!! hahahaha).
if there was one thing i regret i didn't do that night, that was to greet
rocky a happy birthday (may 30, a day before that gig).
yun lang. sayang kasi opportunity eh. tsk.anyway! since some people who were buying shirts had gone already, i was thinking how we could stay
a bit (another lie) longer
nang hindi nakakahiya. that's when i thought to buy shirts,
which was by the way not in my agenda, seriously. when we did (joycie even nearly got to buy a shirt instead of a racer back one, and that's another story), we asked the band to sign them for us. this moment is what i call:
the one to prolong our stay. hehehe.
that was when we asked
louie and
lakan to take the remaining pictures with us.
oh ha? ganda ng strategy no? hehe.
louie then asked us (puro
ask no?) where we both came from, and they were quite shocked to learn that joycie and i were from
laguna and
batangas respectively.
if they only knew how near apart our houses are, and how near alabang is to our houses. haaay. (i remember the exact phrases but i'm too lazy to transcribe it here. sorry guys. consolation: from
louie, "all the way from batangas!")
and since
jay jay wasn't there because he's still entertaining other guests,
rocky asked us to stay for awhile. (now that's what i'm talking about. haha, kidding.)
jay jay came over again, and he signed our shirts, and thanked us again.
finally, we left to go to the comfort room and talked about the experience. kahit na maraming tao pa ang nandun (and take note: hindi na sila teenager), we didn't mind. i was checking my bag when we realized that the rechargable batteries of the digital camera were
missing. panicking, i called my dad. he told me to report that to the front desk; i was hesitating pa nga eh, kasi i hadn't done that before.
we went down to the front desk, the man in-charge said we should come up there again because no one in the bar was answering. he came with us, and upon arriving, we immediately went to the spot where we took some pictures with them (they were gone already, maybe because we stayed in the bathroom too long). thankfully,
we found it still there. God, if i had known we were the ones who would find it,
sana hinanap ko na lang.
oh, and there was an old guy who kept talking to joyce in the bar. good thing he didn't ask any information. mind you, that's really weird.
and we went home, still talking about that very nice, happy, satisfying and
(insert best, not good, adjective here) experience. i'll never forget that. :D
SIDE NOTE: HAPPY 64th BIRTHDAY TO SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY!!!
*sings* will you still need me, will you still feed me, when i'm sixty-four?...
