seeming a normal day, but...
wheeeee!
sabi na eh, i had expected too much last time and got hurt. i didn't expect much this time and got completely satisfied.
sobra-sobra pa nga eh.
NOTE: this will be a three-entry thing. if you want to know the whole story, be patient. remember: PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE. hahaha.
i don't know what i had done to please God so much and He gave me too many blessings last wednesday night. it's hard to handle pala, but they're still blessings nonetheless. maybe it's the guy who gave a really long speech but turned out to be just soliciting money from us; religious item naman kasi ang binibenta niya. hehehe.
(i realize that you don't know what the heck i'm talking about, so might as well start from the beginning...and before i forget, i'll start right after i received that call from school, which i don't really want to talk about.)
since i had woken up, i couldn't sleep anymore even if i tried. maybe
that news shocked the hell out of me. anyway, already alive and kicking for the day ahead, i prepared myself by assuming that watching
the bloomfields again (for the nth time) may or may not turn out great (at least social-wise, because i knew i'd enjoy their performances! :P). i remember two weeks ago (may 16), i was expecting a lot of things for that day including: bringing my best friend with me to be my
other self, taking pictures
with them and
of them, and meeting them in person (of course!). the reason i expected rather too much was that it was already my third time watching them live. i had supposed that it was
a must for that to happen. but i was wrong,
big time.
but for someone as, again, optimistic and as determined as i am, things weren't going to end just like that.
i had decided to go again there last may 31, but this time i had much, much less expectations. i asked my best friend again (
hi joycie!) to try and ask permission from his dad right after i watched the band two weeks ago. i was hoping she would
finally go with me, but i wasn't exactly expecting that. and to be honest, it was a 50-50 shot; if she'd get the permission, i'd have another chance to go there again, because my sister didn't want to go anymore, and i'd have no company. in short, my fate of seeing them again rested in my friend's hands.
besides the company, there were other expectations i had in mind, if ever i'd go this time: we would...
* go there early;
* get good seats;
* watch them play; and
* stay a bit longer than the last time (we didn't get to do that several times before).
and that was it. if i'd get to meet them personally (for the first time, actually), it'd be great, if not, still great.
with all of these in mind, i continued through the morning like it was the usual; i posted some thoughts on my blog (both stating my anxiety over two ultimately different things), watched tv, checked my mail, and even played counter-strike. hehehe.
by 130pm, joycie already texted me, asking me about the time we'd leave. i had said the day before that 3pm was the earliest time. i told her that again, and that i hadn't even taken a bath yet. she's also the same, that's why she's asking in the first place. hehehe. anyway, by 230pm, i did all my hygienic preparations and prepared my things-to-bring as well. my dad (he was my driver for the day) and i left at 3pm; he even reprimanded me for leaving at the exact meeting time with my friend, but our houses were ten minutes away anyway so it made no difference.
upon arriving, we had to knock on the window because no one was near enough to hear that we had arrived. i was a bit worried that i'd become over-dressed with my casual 2-inch heels and new dress (it's above my knees by the way). but the moment joycie came out, i was relieved. i somehow forgot that she dresses way more "fashionable" than i do: a mini-skirt and spaghetti strap top,
though she wore flat flip-flops.
now, i know, the story's not about fashion, so onto the next scene.
there was nothing we did inside the car while going to alabang but talk, talk, talk and talk. maybe we'd missed each other so much that there was no time that we had nothing to talk about. from school, to friends, to our reunion the next day, to even the constant lying of our guy friend to me (
hoy, alam mo kung sino ka! hehehe). the almost an hour travel time seemed only seconds to us.
we already arrived at alabang by 430pm, i think (i wasn't aware of the time). we tried to go first to cinderella for an exchange of the pants that supposed to be free size but didn't fit me :P. since that was probably the only pants they had, i went on to look for blouses that if added, would have the same price or more. blah, blah, blah...i guess we spent 30 minutes there because the sales lady was kind of lost. :P
and because i was declaring to the people of cinderella that i felt hungry (like i am now, hahaha), joycie and i went to
new york fries, while my dad left us for awhile. there was no place to sit near the stall, so we sat on the "park" part of the mall (yes, where
the coffee bean and tea leaf is located). we, again, talked about anything and everything under the sun, and it appeared like we wouldn't see each other soon, considering that the next day would also be our reunion!
a guy suddenly approached us. we're surprised by his sudden appearance, because we both didn't notice him coming. he then proceeded on with blabbering about his student organization and that they needed to raise money by selling prayer cards, blah blah blah...the weird thing about that was he didn't even bother to tell us where school he's from or who he was. anyway, because i am really, really kind person :P (and also he said that i'd be more blessed if i'd buy one of those), i bought one.
mura lang naman eh, and there's no harm.
okay, till here muna. it's getting long. besides, there are two more entries left, so better stay tuned! (
parang tv 'no?)
p.s. read one of the first pararaphs above and you'll see the reference of that guy. hehehe.
