new things and more things

I dream of the day when I step out into the world and allow myself to be free,
when my dreams are within my reach,
when I become what I intend to be,
when I am able to express what I feel and what I believe in.

(That's just a mini-poem I wrote when I was back at school helping out in our school paper because, obviously, I was soooooo...oooooooo bored. So just think of the poem as non-fiction.)

Wow, it's the first time I've helped out making a blog for somebody else. I mean, not only the URL and stuff, the layout! I know I didn't make the whole thing, just the image and the music, but really, it feels kinda good to see my name in the credits section. Heehee. The blog owner is still a secret, since they haven't put a decent "first" post yet. But the makers have! Hahaha.

OMG, I'm so hooked on American Idol now. All seasons! (Well, except season 1, 3 and 4, but hey, that's still three freaking good seasons!)

I love everything about season 2: the contestants (*EHEM*), the group performances, the themes, the system, I said everything!

I love season 5's individual performances, especially those of Paris Bennett and of Elliot Yamin. I still wish they've gone farther than they had.

I love season 6's uniqueness; they have contemporary type of artists now, like Blake Lewis and Chris Richardson (I'd love to include Chris Sligh as well). And they have the greatest female singer of all: Melinda Doolittle.

And the music is back, baby!

I missed having music in blog SOOOOO much! And for a treat, I'm having Billy Joel as my first (yet again) song in so many months now. This is one of my favorite songs, particularly that AI2 top 7 sung this as a group performance (for Billy Joel week).
